The Client agrees to be bound by the terms as set out below when accepting details of, or engaging an applicant introduced by Au Pair House.
The passing of an introduction to another person or company which results in an engagement of the referred persons services renders you the client liable for payment of the Agency fees.
Au Pair House will verify visa, passport and criminal records of all applicants only. Any other information related to candidate and family, credentials, qualifications, and references supplied to Au Pair House are made available to our clients in confidence so that they can check the references if they wish.
Au Pair House accepts NO LIABILITY for Au Pair House, its staff, au pairs, families or any applicants for any damage, compensation, loss or any other claim resulting from the employment of the Au Pair live in, introduced or placed by Au Pair House.
Written confirmation must be received by the Agency before the applicant can take up residence with the client. Payment of the placement fee is due prior to the au pair arrival.
Payment to au pairs must be done by the Host Family directly to the au pair at the end of each week, preferable by Friday. For all Full-time Au Pair program, the au pair must have a minimum of AUS $6.00 per hour, maximum 45 hours a week and weekends free.
Baby-sitting must be organised in advance and agreed by both parties, it should be considered as extra hours and paid separately.
Placement fee:
Demi-Pair program: AUS $ 110.00 per placement
Full-time Au Pair program: AUS $ 660.00 per placement.
The placement fee is a single one off charge and is payable as soon as Au Pair House confirms the placement. The family will receive an invoice to be paid prior to the au pair arrival.
An additional penalty of 10% will be charged after a second reminder for non-payment of the account.
In the event that the family cancels a booking less than 15 days prior to the commencement date no refund will be made.
If for any external reason, the au pair decides to finish the program prior to the 5 month period, Au Pair House will match another candidate to the family, as per availability at no extra cost, until the family has the period of 5 months completed with an au pair.
Once the family has had 5 months with an au pair, and the family wishes to host another au pair, a new full fee will be charged for the service of Au Pair House.
This guarantee is void if the host family has not adhered to the payment terms agreed to by the Host Family with Au Pair House, or if the reason for the Au Pair's departure is a failure of the Host Family to provide her with her own private room and/or that her living conditions within the home are not of good hygienic standard.
Au Pair House do not undertake to replace an au pair, if one has departed prematurely for any reason that is considered detrimental to her welfare whilst staying with the Host Family.
In the event of any of the above the au pair shall be entitled to terminate the engagement with immediate effect.
There are no trial periods.
If the family cancel the program between 28 days and 15 days before commencement date, a refund of 50% of the placement fee will be available to the family. If the cancellation is less than 15 days prior to the start date, there is no refund.
In the event that a host family decides to substantially change their duty roster days and/or hours without notifying Au Pair House after the au pair has arrived to commence her duties, and if the understanding between the host family and the au pair cannot be resolved, a seven day notice of relocation for the au pair will apply. Written notification by the host family is required.
Once an au pair has been placed with a family and placement has commenced, the responsibility of replacement no longer applies if the family has decided to change the hours and duties. A fresh application must be made by the host family with the changed duty hour’s roster fully described.
Weekly payment to au pairs must be done by the family every week, with no failure, preferable by Friday of each week.
The Placement fee is due prior to the au pair arrival.
The invoice is raised after you have booked our candidate and confirm the placement within the family. The fee charged to the client for any individual is only applicable to one engagement.
A further fee will be charged by Au Pair House for each re-engagement.
The management of Au Pair House reserves the right of offering its services to applicants and host families
Booking and placement fees are payable by direct bank deposit.
