Process of matching au pairs and families

We believe that the au pair should have an idea of the work they will be doing in the house. So we will provide samples of timetables to simplify the creation of a new work schedule. During our visit to the family home a work schedule will be designed with our assistance. We will also provide the contract and the letter of invitation for our families. During the process of placement, we will make sure the au pair reads, understands and signs the documents appropriately. Both the family and the au pair will have a copy of the documents before commencement date.

The process of matching au pairs and families:

· Au Pair House has a family list which is shown to au pair candidates
· Au pair candidates choose 2 or 3 families they would like to apply for
· Au Pair House match requests founded on the full information received from both family and au pair registrations
· Au Pair House introduces the most appropriate family profile to the au pair and the au pair candidate profile to the family and also makes an appointment for the first visit.
· At this point, the family will have a visit by Au Pair House staff to design a suitable work-schedule, meet family members and view the house, including the au pairs bedroom.
· After this visit, Au Pair House will have the family assessment completed
· If both profiles are accepted by au pair and family, the au pair will receive the contract with all details of the family and work involved
· Documents are signed and full fee payment is requested from au pair and family
· Payment must be received before au pair arrival
· The family will receive the contract signed by the au pair and will need to sign it as well
· The au pair will arrive and be transferred to the Au Pair House Office to have an one hour-session “orientation”, where they will receive all the extras included in the program.
· After orientation, the au pair will be transferred to the family home to meet the family.
· The Blue Card application form will be signed and organised by Au Pair House on the first day of arrival
· The Blue card will be delivered to the au pairs family address within 6 weeks.
