A demi pair is a full time international student studying in Australia who wishes to live with an Australian family as part of a cultural exchange. The demi pair program provides busy families with up to 20 hours assistance around the house, in exchange for accommodation and meals. Some candidates may receive a reduced pocket money of $75 per week for their 20 hours assistance. This depends on the candidate meeting strict selection criteria.
Demi pairs are not qualified in childcare, and may have little experience with children, however they love children and are able to offer assistance to the family. Demi pairs are also able to assist with light household duties including washing, ironing, meal preparation and light cleaning.

Our part time applicants are not attending school so hours can be flexible to suit the family. Many of our part time applicants will also find work outside of the home to earn extra money, around their au pair hours.
