Our Au Pair program is simple and affordable. It is an exchange program and is an excellent way to experience life in Australia. Au Pairs do not need to be qualified. Being kind, friendly and helpful is what our families are looking for.
Information for Au Pairs
  • The Au Pair House accommodation service has the highest level of accommodation and the most affordable one on the Gold Coast, and elsewhere in Australia!
  • Depending on the program the Au Pair chooses to do, it can cost the equivalent of approximately $10 per week to $93 per week (for a stay of 3 months).
  • Accommodation and food 7 days a week.
  • The work and the family profile will be described to the Au Pair before payment and commencement, so the Au Pair will know exactly what is expected, and when to start and finish every day.
  • The families associated with the programs are carefully selected, assessed and they all live in very nice homes and close to shops, transport, and the beach or city.
  • The program is three months or 6 months, but the Au Pair can stay with the same family for up to 1 year (conditions apply) for FREE!
  • Extend the program WITH A DIFFERENT FAMILY, IN ANY CITY, allowing you to experience different parts of Australia within our program (conditions apply).
  • Assistance during the placement.
  • The Au Pairs can find a paid job, travel, study or just relax at home in their free time.
  • Airport pick up to 24-hour assistance during the length of stay.
  • After the Au Pairs have successfully completed 3 months with the same family, they can receive the Au Pair Certificate and a Letter of Recommendation for future paid jobs (conditions apply).

The Au Pair pays (at a very affordable rate) Au Pair House to carefully select a family to live in with, that also matches their requirements and receive great family support, a nice home and family atmosphere. In return the Au Pairs help the family with light housework and helps with children, normally with weekends free.

live and work options

Au Pair House offers 3 different Au Pair programs. Two programs are on an exchange system, they are called:
Demi-pair Dolphin
Demi-pair Mermaid
Our third program is called:
Full-time Au Pair and it is an hourly paid system.

“At first, I worried about being an Au Pair in Australia. I was afraid. But the Au Pair family treat me like real family. I feel like my work is not really work. I help cleaning the house, playing with the baby and also have lots of free time as everybody else. I fell safe, respected and have lots of fun everyday. I definitely have much more chance to learn the language naturally through our daily conversations. I am very thankful for coming with Au Pair House and staying with this family. I feel very lucky.”
