Attention:
· Au Pair programs as an accommodation
option:
If you compare the prices of our programs with normal rental prices
(including food, electricity, bond etc.) or homestay fees, you will
realise that this is the best quality and highest standard type
of accommodation and the most affordable way to live on the Gold
Coast or country sites in Australia. However, the au pair must be
aware that it is a job, and it comes with responsibilities and duties
that must be complied with. The au pair will sign a contract along
with other forms during the orientation, which happens on the first
day after arrival. The au pair and the family can terminate the
agreement at any stage if the placement is not satisfactory, giving
2 weeks notice. Au Pair House will offer another family to the au
pair if placement is found not suitable, however this offer is only
available during the first month of placement.
· If you wish to extend the program:
The program length is indefinite, however the families expect the
au pair to stay at least 3 months. If the au pair and family wish
to continue the arrangements it is totally up to them. Au Pair House
can no longer assist with the extension of more than 3 months with
the same family. If the au pair wishes to finish the program before
completing 3 months, a 14-day notice must be given to the family.
BUT, if an au pair wishes to continue the program after the first
3 months with a different family, Au Pair House offers the same
service for only half price.
· If you want to be an au pair and
study at the same time:
There are many families that need help at the end of the day. So
if you wish to study, you must mention in your application form
the school location, the timetable, and the length of the course.
That way, we can look into matching your request with the families
available in the area. If you need help to find a course or school,
please advise, as we can help with your school enrolment as well
at no extra charge! We advise that you choose a school that offers
a timetable suitable to the au pair timetable. For more information,
